She was a fashion disaster: She wore chains in her belt, and boots that did not match in color. A torn piece of cloth stuffed in her back pocket, and a scarf wrapped around her neck. A sleeveless shirt, and a foreign amulet. A bowling hat, and a purple colt hanging from her shoulder.
She was a social disaster: She walked with a peculiar rhythm. She spoke in her own way. Used expressions from all kinds of places, from movies and television, from books and anime. The things she referenced always required a previous knowledge, which she didn't care to explain. No one really was ever able to get her.

This city will sometimes reflect what we feel, and as such, we both found one another in the middle of our own neverlighted nights.
The moonlight we shared since then was ever the closest we got to a real sun, but even so, as we were together, the shadows of this no-exit city seemed to fade.
This dark night, it will always suck you back if only for a moment you look behind your shoulder, and still, I wanted to take you by the hand, make one last run for somewhere far away from here.
You resisted. Kept getting drunk on everything that was certain, even if it was so very incomplete. I wondered how did you come to love darkness that much...
